ProblemLboogie's civic 02-05-2003, 12:19 AM I have a 93 civic si. I recently heard a noise coming from my passenger front side tire. It sounded as if the tire was flat but it was not. I checked underneath and the axle looked ok, the cv boot was good and the brakes were good. Can anyone help me, before a mechanic takes advantage. Thanks shepworldwide 02-05-2003, 01:02 PM welcome to af  can you describe the noise>>> does it happen when you turn? if not then when do you hear it? *be specific* Lboogie's civic 02-05-2003, 03:17 PM It's weird. The noise happens randomly when i'm driving. I did not hear it though when turning. It literally sounds like a flat tire. Can you help me out. Lboogie's civic 02-05-2003, 04:12 PM It doesn't happen when i am turning only when going forward. shepworldwide 02-05-2003, 04:16 PM is it a vibration that you feel in your steering wheel? your caliper could be lose or brake rotor warped.....sorry if i'm wrong but, i don't have to much to work with.. or like i said before axle or cv tire might need to be balanced also Lboogie's civic 02-05-2003, 04:39 PM Could it be that it needs to be balanced??? Thanks for your help b16a3sol 02-05-2003, 11:35 PM maybe your tire is flat.:D sc0rch 02-07-2003, 04:18 AM could be a busted belt in the tire.....i hist a bump in the road last summer where they fixed a bridge and didnt put up a "bump" sign and busted both belts in my tires.....check and see if the tires look pregnant by running your hand around it make sure to check the inside of the tire too twards the fender well..... OGRED 02-07-2003, 05:12 PM http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/t83524.html check that out if it sounds like that then you had the same problem i had, a shop didnt tighten my lug nuts after an alignment and they were poping off and there was like 3 left and they were about to pop off CivicSiRacer 02-08-2003, 08:31 AM Do you have aftermarket wheels/tires? If so you may have bent your wheel or your wheel needs rebalancing. The tires could be abnormally worn down too. Like cupping or scalping of the tires. If it happens when you are braking then your rotors could be warped. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
