First of all I'd like to thank all the people who sent a model in for the contest, and all the people that took the time to vote.
Thankyou to the people that put up the prizes for the contest also.

It was really interesting the last veiw hours as the lead changed 5 times before Hawk312 finally got his nose in front and took the tape !!
Well done mate on what is a really outstanding model.

To everyone else, thankyou for being part of the first ever contest held on the AF modelling forum, I HOPE THIS WELL BE THE FIRST OF MANY MORE TO COME!!

I think the comp has been alot more realistic in the final stages, with voting representing the high standard of models and proving just how tough it was to decide on who to vote for.

I am really surprised. I have been in and out of here trying to think of what to say. I was expecting one of the other models to pull ahead again. I was surprised when I logged on this morning and saw I was still in the lead....
Anyway...
I second everything that was already said. PMan and the prize contributors deserve "Da Man"`s award. We all were winners in this contest; the ones who entered, because of the incredible quality of *all* the models, and the ones who didn`t enter who got to see the work of some great modelers. To even be recognized in this group of talented builders was the big prize! :cool: :) The running was very, very, very, close and was definitely the toughest competition I`ve been in. Every one of the 38 or so modelers deserves recognition for great effort. Thanks for the votes and compliments everyone!!!!! :) :) :) I think I wont quit modeling now. :D

Not a bad idea! A bi-monthly contest that qualifies the top 3 finishers for a MOTY slot. That way we can document the builds a little more and give the builder more room to show his work!
