Nascart, drifting style!Polygon 01-29-2003, 01:19 PM Anyone that lives here in Utah might have heard of Nascart. It is go cart racing. They go decently fast at about 40MPH. Well, Neutrino some other friends and I decided to go. There were five of us. We started out and after about seven laps Neutrino and I managed to pass everyone accept one of my friends. Neutrino was behind me the whole time until the end of the race when I got stuck behind a lapped car. I was going to make a move but Neutrino pulled on the outside and I hit the brakes. I should have kept going and sent him into the wall. :D Like the title says, Neutrino and I decided it was more fun to drift than give it our all. It was a road course and on all of the hairpins we were drifting them around the turns, sometimes bogging the motor. Holy crap that was a kick, closest thing to track racing I can get, for now. Neutrino and I were by far the best of out group. Imagine if we were actually trying to race and not drift. :D DemonZX 01-29-2003, 01:42 PM That sounds like hella fun! Polygon 01-29-2003, 08:28 PM Damn right!! I'll be going again soon. :D Scott 02 01-29-2003, 08:44 PM 40 mph is nothing, The go-karts i raced could reach speeds of 100mph. After i dominated that im now in the Race Car. Those Nascart are probably a good start though polygon. :D They sure are fun. hakka 01-29-2003, 09:59 PM scott, what kind of a kart did you race? I just bought a 125cc shifter...a 99 CRG with a blueprinted TM engine. I'll be driving it for the first time Saturday. The previous owner was clocked at 130mph on the banking at Daytona (and this was on the rolex layout, not the tri-oval!) fatninja19 01-29-2003, 10:03 PM Damn Scott, you seem to be flawless at all automotive spectrums.... Scott 02 01-29-2003, 10:33 PM I know...I never let anything slow me down. :D I know what you ment by the way.....I used to race both. I race the 125cc a couple of times in tracks around ohio. I mostly raced dirt though. In the Stock Light & Medium classes. We were only able to get to about 30MPH on average. The oval is a different story. I have driven faster ones; it has just been a while since I have. Besides, this was close racing on a road course, not some boring ass oval. Neutrino 01-30-2003, 01:10 AM Originally posted by fatninja19 Damn Scott, you seem to be flawless at all automotive spectrums.... Agreed. ------------------------------------- And that was a very twisty road couse and still got an average of 30 mph i say that is pretty good. Me and my engineering buddies are going to enter into some shcool racing thing. Basically we make a small F1 style car with an engine not bigger tha 610cc's. That freaking huge! Considering we CAN turbocharge it and all that jive. So that's probably be really fun.. Anyone have experience with that? Scott 02 01-31-2003, 10:31 PM why does it look like you're 13? Dude, I think that i look the age i was in that picture. I was 15 then. I seen a picture of you somewhere and you looked thirteen yourself. ;) Me and my engineering buddies are going to enter into some shcool racing thing. That sounds very fun. So you are a engineer? Thats what im looking into. Planning on majoring in Machanical Engineering. Neutrino 02-01-2003, 12:32 AM redneck looks 13 on that picture cuz TV is like 7foot. Layla's Keeper 02-01-2003, 12:45 AM Hey Scott, where do you run? Mansfield? Lorain County? Sandusky? I'd guess county, since they have Nascar sanctioning and payout. Even though the track was engineered by heroin addict tree sloths and is managed by dumbfucks. If your car is legal, scope Mansfield Motorsports Speedway in Mansfield, Ohio. ASA, ARCA, USAR, and soon USAC all will run there. It's a fast FAST 1/2 with facilities to rival Indianapolis Raceway Park or Oswego Speedway in Oswego, New York. (at least, it will be by the end of the off season, major reconstruction is going on right now) Scott 02 02-01-2003, 07:07 PM Thinking of trying that track out. I race at Columbus Motor Speedway.
