Hi guys.... for Ferrari Enzo, i'm putting a 100% effort on it... it just takes me hours and hours just to finish this engine.. I re-spray it, you can see the pics, it is different colour from the orginal plastic colour. Even the cover for the engine, i take my time to spray it red first and black on the other one. Hmm...i tried something out today... Take a look at the engine cover (Pic 4) An effect is shown here... the painting looks something like carbon...Don't know whelther you think so or not ~
Anyway... got lots and lots to finish... Cheers ~ Will keep you update~

How can you spray those small pieces? I would have to hand brush them! Do you have a special stand to hold the little pieces?

take a pair of needle nose pliars, put a rubber band over the 'handle side', and it makes a perfect mini-vise for painting small stuff, cuz the rubber band holds the pliars closed.

just get some cheapy ones at walmart, and they work perfect.

Darn....this is wanting me to start mine :(
Looking good, the only thing i think you should do to make it look better is remove the exhaust seems on the engine
Parts C29/C20 AND C5/C15 were they join together

hmm...its nice to see you putting 100% effort on this Enzo...no doubt it is a great kit.

but...i think you should remove those joint lines especially on the exhaust etc...and hey...your brake calipers are half painted...and the red color on the engine block covers are a bit dark...IMO...

Yah.. what you say was correct, i should sand it first..haha but later part, you won't be seeing this anymore because it's going to hide inside the Enzo..cheers! Oh ya.. before i forgot, my brake calipers, i'm half complete..

The real Enzo brake discs are a carbon ceramic compound that (I think) is closer to metallic grey than silver. :)

I admit, it looks fabulous!! and I wouldn't bother too much about the weathering, because what Enzo owner would ever even DRIVE :) the car!

If you are even lucky to have the opportunity to buy one, I would let it stay in my garage for ever, as an investment!

on the other hand , this beauty just screams to be molested ;)

keep up teh progress and nice work!

Nice job, clean painting. The seams on the exhausts could have done with a little gap-filler, and tidying up before painting, but hey, when it's all covered up in the bottom of the model, you start to lose a bit - you want that BODY painted!!!

Of course, you can worry about that on the second Enzo kit, and do a cutaway to see the engine or similar. Or maybe the third one, etc. etc.

On the point of holding the fiddly little bits - you could also try your chemist/ drugstore/ pharmacy, and get some medical forceps. You get different options on the teeth, and they have a great ratchet to lock things in place, and just the right tension too. No worries about the elastic band getting attacked by the thinner in the spray and falling off...

Other options for medical stuff - talk to your dentist, and get some of his old tools that he uses to mold fillings in your teeth. PERFECT for working with putty...

And, of course, medical scalpel blades are 10 times better than hobby knives. And normally cheaper too, if you can get a good source.

And finally, talk to your friendly paramedic and whip some rubber gloves from him. Great for holding closer to your model when spraying it. And guess what - when you're finished, chuck it away. You don't walk into work with a yellow/ pink/ blue hand the next morning ;-)

Have fun. Can't wait for my Enzos to arrive. My problem is how many to buy ;-) Will start with 1 I suppose...
