j30 vs i30Big Guy 01-21-2003, 10:33 PM i've seen alot of i30s around and i could never get in a good position to race with one. i just wanted to know which is faster, handles better and is an all-round better car - the J or the I? Pick 01-22-2003, 07:39 PM Definitely the I, more sporty, faster, and better looking. I like the J, but the I is a whole new ballgame. Supercub 01-25-2003, 06:42 PM I was in kind of a unique position in that I owned a J30T and when I took it in for service they let me drive a new I30 a couple of years back. I remember that I thought the J had a smoother ride and was more responsive...210 vs 190hp in the I30....not sure of the weight comparo or who would win a drag race however. The T package makes a big differance in my opinion. Ironically now I own an I30T. Scott 99I30T . NoMotive 02-04-2003, 02:52 AM If you factor in the J30s rear-drive setup I imagine it would have handling characteristics over the I30. The J30 corners more aggressively and it can be thrown into oversteer without too much effort. Good luck on finding that race:rolleyes: mwilken 02-14-2003, 09:47 PM I have had both a 93 J-30 and a 1997 I-30 and I regret every day that I traded in my J. The rear wheel drive, the quality of the car and the performance of the J make it far and away a better car. And to think that I was thinking about interior comfort when I made the trade. Big Mistake. I should have bought a 97 J. MaximusGTR 02-15-2003, 05:47 AM Bet the handling on the j30 was:right: vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
