Rally model contest will be...

in April!
So everybody will have time to finish their projects.
Most of people on AF and RCMG are for April.

March - 12 votes
April - 21 votes

SO far I'm thinking on 3 categories:
- out of box, almost out of box (changed decals,...)
- super detailed
- 1/43 scale

Some sponsors already contacted me and I think that we will have sponsors for all categories.

Just write that it is for rally contest. If you in meantime build better model or you made new improvements on it, you will still can replace it in contest.
Most important it is that all models must came in to the 21st April.

If you have any suggestions or advices, just let me know.

Doggone it, now I need to get my ass in gear for April :)

Is it alright to take part with an old model or should it be something recently built? I was wondering if my Lancia 037(which I already have entered in AF2002-contest) is eligible.

I'm afraid I'm too slow builder so I won't have anything else finished before the deadline...

yes you can. And all models which already been in previous BMOM contest can anter again.

Super detailed category will be called 'Enhanced' because suits better.
On that way people will understand it better and that menas that this cars must not have opened doors, hoods, ...

I know English is not your first language so you may not realise the way you phrased the above isn't clear.

Another thing I was wondering about, you mentioned abuot models with P/E parts falling into the 'Enhanced' category, would this include if only P/E harnesses were added?

It will be one category called 'Enhanced' where will go ALL detailed and super detailed cars. I think that we will not get many SUPER detaile cars so I think that this suit the best.

adding only P/E harnesses can go to the OOB because it's minor changes. Some kits like you know, like Hasegawa, already have that in kits so I think that it can go to the OOB.

Yes, but I will try to differet people get awards. If somebody will be winner in 2 ctagories, it will get one award and runner up will get ward for other category.

Phots must be to 100 Kb or 720 pixels wide. More about photos and other rules on contest pages.

Am I understanding right in that we need to have entries to you by the 21st April, and that voting opens on the 22nd?

Just wondering, since the date the entry needs to be in by will make the difference as to which car I can enter ;)

Just curious, are you alowed to enter more then one car, or is it just one? Have four projects going on, and I have hard time choosing between Higgins Focus, Kuligs Focus, McRaes Mitsu or Burns Subaru...

Just read the answer myself on the web page, so you can disregard the post above.

Man, we're going to have a hard time judging who has the best enhanced model.
Only 3 cars in that league by now, but what a beautiful ones.

Is there any upper limit on the number of entries for the competition Zeljko? Should we get an entry in sooner rather than later and risk missing a ticket?

Who built that Subaru with the engine? Very nice effort but does he know he screwed the decals up? SWRT didn't carry 555 sponsorship in 2001. If he didn't clear coat the shell maybe it can be fixed.

Phil has a point, Subaru only renewed their sponsorship with British American Tabacco for the 2002 season.

That is still one sweet Subaru model though :)

Yeah I don't want to sound like I am criticising - it is such a well constructed model, the guy has put a lot of work and money into it, resulting in a absolutely killer Subie. Just that it sort of hurts to see one easily rectified detail go akimber. Kind of like giving the Mona Lisa a nose piercing...
