Project Blitz Supra***no pics yet***

Ive been working long and hard on it and its relaly starting to look good.

I have had some trouble with the side skirts but they are starting to look good too.

but i have one question, factory wing, or 3 piece wing from ITR?

this reminds me of a shorty thread..

you should use what you like. Are you really going to put something on your model that the majority wants, even if you don't like it?

i couldnt find another thread, but i think i did when i planned it to have the Stillen front lip.

Blitz supra should have a Blitz wing. :)

thanx, but red putty isnt that good

make one out of styrene. it can't be that hard, all the planes are flat except for the horizontal one and that can be curved easily.

Sorry to bring this a little off topic, but how well does styrene holds its bend?

i cant get styrene any whre near me. any way im not a huge fan of that wing

There are several ways, even though it's just bending a plastic sheet.
One is to simply bend it till a white mark appears, and that's it.

Another is to use a hobby knife and draw a line, then bend to make a groove, and fill the groove with superglue to add strength to it.

Finally, use two sheets of plastic, one is thin, the other is thick. Bend the thick one with the first or second method, and glue the thin one outside.

I use two layer method often.

Ditto, i think that's the only way really. Styrene doesn't hold it's bend well at all unless its heated up in that new position.

u can see that i left off the area where it comes down to make an angle on the front

i just dont like how it comes all the way down

looks a bit too bulky if you ask me.

no more pics of the integra, but on the photo it looks out of scale but when u look at in real life it doesnt look like that

im waiting on my Tamiya paint to come in the mail, it should be here monday!

but should i use Mica Blue or Dark blue?

i put on 2 coats of Tmiya- Blue Mica

In the pic it is too dark to see the color, it looks blueish/purple, I used Tamiya Mica Blue.

looks like you followed my paintin tips eh, looks good but still out of whack

body kit is a bit bulky still...

i didnt follow your tips, i used tamiya paint instead of testors

Those pictures aren't too great... I can't even see the color that good.

Not to be dicouraging, but it doesn't look too accurate.

But at the same time it doesn't look like a bad thing.

i think if you just shave some off the bottom so it's flush with the bottom of the original bumper, it would look fine.

I'm gonna encourage you to continue to finish it; I've seen worse! Do your best and remember your mistakes for the next model ;)

I dont think so, silver looks good on a stock supra but when u addd any body kit it makes it ugly!

i have yet to see any kind of wheels that i think look as good as the factory wheels on a supra

every single demo car that Blitz produces from the factory featuring their parts is painted some shade of silver. that's what he meant.

yea i know, its like a trade mark, like how all the veilsdie cars are brownish

Joey, do you have a scanner? If so you will get better pics if you place your model onto it compared to that awful web cam. That's what i used to do b4 getting my digicam:)
