Im not 100% sure on this, but im pretty sure that you need to get it coded at the dealer, u need some special piece of equipment to code it the same as the other remotes.

Like I said I am not 100% sure on this, hopefully someone else here can give you a positive answer one way or the other.

Hi I was wondering if you have instructions for 97 buick lesabre key less remote Thank

Hi,

I'm looking for the FOB Programming instructions for a 2005 Chev Impala. The dealer says they need to use a scan tool to do it, but I have FOB Programming in my Radio Display Settings. Although I can't seem to find the combo. Does anyone know how to do this?

Thanks!

I have a 1999 Saturn SC2. When I try to reprogram by connecting pins 4 and 8 on the DLC nothing happens when I believe the door locks should cycle. Can anybody give me a clue about this?

Thanks,

Recently inherited a 99 Alero. Not sure if it has keyless or not. I vaguely remember reading about a way to tell whether or not the car has keyless by checking the option parts list on the spare tire cover. What code would I be looking for?

Any help appreciated

Does anyone have the programming instructions for a 1997 Oldsmobile Delta 88. (I've already tried the standard Pin 4 & 8). There isn't a lead pin 8. I've also already located the transciever under the glove box. There are 10 wires leading into it. Color coded as follows. Red, Blue, Green (2) Pink, (2) Black/White, Yellow/Black, White/Black, Purple/White.

Even tried the 97 Bonnivelle, 95 Olds 88 programming instructions.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

96-99 all should basically use the standard jump 4 & 8 procedure.

Are you sure you are counting the pin locations right?

96-99 all should basically use the standard jump 4 & 8 procedure.

Are you sure you are counting the pin locations right?

:banghead: Yes, even removed the DLC to read them. I took a digital picture and have pins in the following positions. 2, 4, 5, 9, 14, 16. I've been searching for awhile now and it appears that this is a common occurance with the 97 many other owners state the 8 pin isn't there. When I removed the DLC I was looking to see if the wire harness was tampered with or the lead was cut but there isn't evidence of that either. Very Frustrating!

I know it has to be some thing simple and have been through just about every programing procedure that even comes close. If there was a way to program it directly from the Theft Deterent I could do it. Just don't know which wire(s) to short out to enter the programming mode. Thanks for the quick reply. S/F

nightfly27,
The code you are looking for should be on the bottom of the spare tire cover and it is AU0. If your car has remote keyless entry, I'm pretty sure the dealer or some one with a Tech II scanner has to program it.

OK...so I searched the forums and can't find an answer :banghead:

Just bought an '02 Silverado LT (CK1500 Extended Cab, 4-door, etc) and had to buy an eBay transmitter. No problems, other than the seller didn't include the programming instructions.

1) The transmitter is identical to the one which came with the truck -- all numbers match
2) The transmitter that came with the truck works, so I know the KE system is 100% functional

How do I program the truck to accept the "new" transmitter?

I need some help! 1999 Chevy Silverado, Z71 Ext. Cab. I had to take the dash out of my truck to work on the heater core housing. Now my Keyless lock doesn't work. I tried to hold unlock (on door panel) turn key on, off, on ,off. My locks do not cycle, indicating that truck is in program mode. I have also tried a new relay and checked the fuses. Any ideas?:banghead:

Will this method work on a 1998 Chevy Cavalier? If you cant answer, can you possibly forward question to someone is able? My daughter and I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks again.

Direct from GM's S/T 1998 Manual page 8-856

Transmitter Programming:

1)With the driver door closed, hold down the power unlock button on the door panel.

2)Turn the ignition switch to the ON position

3)Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position

4)Turn the ignition switch to the ON position

5)Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position

6)Release the power unlock button on the door panel.
The remote control door lock reciever will respond in the following manner in order to indicate that the receiver is in the programming mode:

6.1)Locking the doors

6.2)Unlocking the doors

IMPORTANT:
All extra transmitters must be programmed at this time. When a new transmitter is programmed it will deactivate the old transmitters.

7)Hold down the lock and unlock buttons on the transmitter until the remote control door lock reciever will respond in the following manner:

7.1)Locking the doors

7.2)Unlocking the doors

8)Repeat step 7 for each additional transmitter

9) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position in order to exit the transmitter programming mode.

Hope that helps. :D

Hi, here are the instructions for a 98 Chevy Cavalier.

1. Make sure ignition is in the OFF position.

2. Locate the Programming Connector in the trunk (driver’s side). It is a plastic connector with two wires leading up to it. The connector is not plugged into anything. You may have to pull back trim to access the connector.

3. The programming connector should have two terminals. Connect both terminals with a suitable jumper wire. Make sure the terminals remain connected throughout the programming procedure.

4. Press the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on the transmitter simultaneously. In response, the Keyless Entry Module will cycle all the Door Lock Motors at once. Your new remote has been accepted and all existing remote codes have been erased.

5. Repeat the previous step for each additional transmitter (including any existing transmitters). Do not remove jumper wire in between programming of transmitters.

6. Remove the jumper wire from the Keyless Programming Connector

Hello, I have a 2000 Pontiac Monatana and the horn and light lock confirmation has been disabled. So that when I press the lock button on my receiver twice the lights don't flash and horn doesn't honk.
I followed the procedure in my manual but apparently the confirmation feature is not programable on my version of Monatana.

I'm assuming the previous owner had it disabled by means of removing some wire or following some procedure listed here. Can somebody help me re-enable my horn/light lock confirmation?

Thanks for your support.

JSCIARRI84, if your remote is the factory GM type and not aftermarket, these instructions will program your remote:

Leave key off
Jumper pin A to pin G with a fused jumper (3A)
Doors will lock and unlock
Pres the UNLOCK button on the remote
Doors should lock and unlock again
if you have more remotes press their unlock button (up to 4)
remove jumper wire

How do you program a key for a 1995 buick regal?

Onblsht
06-18-2007, 03:18 PM
95 Regal:

In the passenger side of the trunk, there is a wire, near the antenna.

Ground this wire, wait for the locks to cycle, then push any button on the remote and hold until the locks cycle again, and you should be in business.

You may have to reprogram your existing remote as well, as some cars erase all old codes when adding a remote.

You can do all at the same time, when done, unhook your ground wire and your finished.

Just bought a 97 Burb LT (to replace my old 97 Police Special :-) the wireless remote, both front door push buttons, and the rear side button open and close the drivers door only, the 3 passenger doors would not power open or close, not even click, but they can be opened and locked manually. Rear hatch/latch (glass flip up liftgate hatch) opens with push button on dash but not on the remote (remote is aftermarket Audiovox Premier alarm with single button to open and lock and second button to release "trunk" When I push any of the activators to close, I hear 2 consecutive relay clicks, but the doors, with the exception of the drivers doo will not open, or lock when I push lock.
Any help would be appreciated.

Can someone please tell me how to program a remote for a Chevy 2002 Trailblazer.

I tried the procedure that has you turn the key on-off-on-off while holding down the door unlock button on the door panel. Then holding down the lock and unlock buttons on the remote for 15 seconds.

It did not work. However the door locks did loc and unlock after doing the on-off-on-off procedures. The remotes did not cause the door locks to respond.

I suspect that there is more to the procedure for a 2002 Chevy Trailblazer. thanks in advance.
