Bimmerkid 02-01-2003, 10:33 AM I'm pretty sure it's "mow-day-na". dirk-diggler 02-01-2003, 02:08 PM You guys have got it all wrong, its MO-DENNA Doucette 02-01-2003, 02:14 PM Originally posted by dirk-diggler You guys have got it all wrong, its MO-DENNA Isn't that what I said? S Brake 02-01-2003, 06:53 PM thats how its pronounced, we've covered that. the last half of the name is sped up a bit. crayzayjay 02-02-2003, 01:56 PM As far as i know, and im 99% sure, its not Mow-Day-Na, or Mo-Denna, It's Moh-Deh-Na, no emphasis on any part of it, just rolls off the tongue. dirk-diggler 02-02-2003, 02:04 PM Were gonna need someone from Italy to enlighten us once and for all:frog: Doucette 02-02-2003, 02:04 PM According to dictionary.com: http://dictionary.reference.com/search?db=*&q=modena It's mow-de-nah (basically the same as what i said, mow-den-ah). The 'e' is not pronounced 'ay', but pronounced like the 'e' in 'pet' or 'den'. crayzayjay 02-02-2003, 02:14 PM Im pretty sure the beginning is not pronounced 'mow', like 'row' (your boat). I think it is pronounced the same as "mod"... ill have to ask my brother he speaks some italian.. the "ay" part is definitely not right Doucette 02-02-2003, 02:31 PM dictionary.com saws the 'o' in "mo" is pronounced like "toe"! But it does have two different pronounciations, I was using the second one. Stefanel1 02-02-2003, 05:18 PM it's not mow-de-nah ! It's Mo deh na, but don't say it with the English accent and the hot potatoes in your mouth ;) crayzayjay 02-02-2003, 05:30 PM So i was right! Hot potatoes eh? :hehehe: Stefanel1 02-02-2003, 05:32 PM indeed you were right, as everytime :D hot potatoes.... hum, sorry, ;) crayzayjay 02-02-2003, 05:40 PM haha! its ok, i dont have the posh english accent! :hehe: Stefanel1 02-02-2003, 05:46 PM you should hear my English accent :D perfectly frenchy ;) Hélo, Ô arrre youuuu :D crayzayjay 02-03-2003, 06:11 PM hahahaha i put on that accent sometimes... i talk to brits pretending im a frenchie... and i dont hold back, its the full-on, 100% tourist frenchie! :hehe: Stefanel1 02-04-2003, 12:23 PM bon, on va s'arrêter là sinon, je vois les grenouilles arriver :D crayzayjay 02-05-2003, 01:40 PM dont worry! i went to a french school for 10 years of my life i would never say such a thing! :D Stefanel1 02-06-2003, 12:03 PM Did you study in France . ? Ok, visual stimulation it is. Doucette 02-07-2003, 12:28 PM Originally posted by Tony_Ensemble I have a good friend with a beautiful Red Modena is anyone interested in having him answer some questions or post some pics? I'll vote for that too. I love "real life" pics. Menu dei Motori 02-08-2003, 12:32 PM does he have the paddle shifting on his 360? Tony_Ensemble 02-08-2003, 01:22 PM [paddle shifter?] Yes. Its a very traditional Ferrari. Red with tan, F1, silver calipers, challenge grill, shields on the side (my favorite feature). I will get him to post some pics. But hes not a very good photographer :D. Just kidding Angelo. -Tony Doucette 02-08-2003, 02:59 PM Originally posted by Tony_Ensemble shields on the side (my favorite feature)What are those? Tony_Ensemble 02-08-2003, 04:43 PM Shields on an Enzo... Doucette 02-08-2003, 04:45 PM Ah! :) Never heard of them called shields before. Learn something new everyday. TexasF355F1 02-08-2003, 06:11 PM Ah yes, the shields....I love 'em. That is definately one key feature I would want on my Ferrari. It adds just that little bit of extra detail to make it stand out a little more and still look so elegant.:) Menu dei Motori 02-09-2003, 02:55 AM well the extra list for ferrari´s... i think they call it carozzeria scaglietti or something like that. the shields on the sites is a absolute MUST for me. I liked it. Tony_Ensemble 02-09-2003, 10:24 PM The big shield on the F50 in the video is a decal. The little shields on the side are built into the body at the manufacturer. I was going to buy a 360 spyder once but I chose not to because it didn't have the shields. You can have them added. But, it would cost $20K because they need to replace the entire front quarter panels (left and right all one peice). Doucette 02-09-2003, 11:00 PM That is a little too much just for shields! Menu dei Motori 02-10-2003, 08:51 AM well even from factory they are not cheap... more than 2000$ but remember ... it´s a ferrari ;) 360Modena1117 02-10-2003, 01:58 PM Anyone that can afford a 360 modena would have no problem dishing out $2000. How are the shields put on. It sounds like they're not painted SuPeRcAr_MaN 02-10-2003, 03:27 PM Originally posted by Tony_Ensemble The big shield on the F50 in the video is a decal. You might not get 100% of the authentic look that the factory shields have, but I'm sure it would look fine. BTW, your Murcielago is 1,000 X better than a Modena. ;) SilverLotus340R 02-10-2003, 05:14 PM do your ferrari flaming in e-mail or PM NOT HERE in the FERRARI forum have a nice day  Neutrino 02-10-2003, 05:53 PM Originally posted by SuPeRcAr_MaN BTW, your Murcielago is 1,000 X better than a Modena. ;) :biggrin2: Tony_Ensemble 02-10-2003, 09:48 PM You can get a $20 stick-ons. If you dont know what your looking for they look pretty good. But the real ones are seperate badges that are placed into an indention that been stamped into the quarterpanel. So if you know there is supposed to be a bevel around the shield then you can spot the stick-ons a mile away. Porsche 02-10-2003, 10:51 PM Reall? I never knew there was supposed ot be a bevel. hmmm I'll look for it next time I see some nice Mo-deh-nas. Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2013
