FINALLY! I didnt think there was anybody else who was interested in going ka-t. well I'm currently rebuilding my ka as well to be turboed. For stuff like the head work, boring, and bottom end work, just find a good local shop that can do the work for you.

Pistons: there are a couple brands that you can go with that make pistons for the KA. arias (http://www.ariaspistons.com/), JE (http://www.jepistons.com/), and ross (http://www.rosspistons.com/) . There may be more but those are just the common ones that people normally use.

Valves: only company that I have found that makes aftermarket valves is ferrea (http://www.nipponpower.com/engine/valve/ferrea_valve_nissan.html) (their main site is down right now so I just linked to a company that sells the ferrea valves)

cams: you can either go with jwt (www.jimwolftechnology.com) or you can use the cams from the 91 KA24DE because they have a higher degree cut on them.

ignition: well I would just use something from msd and then get a good stand alone engine management system (such as haltech), to help control it.

turbo: I suggest checking out cheap turbo (www.cheapturbo.com) because they have killer prices.

as for the best sized turbo.... how much boost do you plan on running and what kind of power are you looking for? If you want a street/drag car then i'd suggest the T3/T04E turbo with something like a 60 trim. This turbo is good for big power but it is still tolerable on the street meaning it wont have huge lag.

i am doing the engine work with my dad. i couldn't find any pistons for the car with the sites you gave me. I will get dad to look up something and see what he comes up with. Can you swap the cams out of an older model 240 into the newer one??? I don't know really anything about turbo's. If i would go with a bigger trim, would that be better since i am doin so much other work, or what should i do??? the car is gonna be race/show mainly. I will flaunt it from time to time on the streets. I am leaning toward a race clutch for it...but i'm not too sure on that yet. I wanna get the motor out and started before i start workin on anything farther back in the car. what is a good exhaust for the car?? nothing obnoxious sounding...i hate that sound..thanks for all of the help so far.
