Confirmed. :)
It's got Caltograf decal, and it's a spot production, so if you miss it, you'll regret it.
Priced at 2500 yen, and due on Feb 25th.

BTW, they say they'll announce the new kits, that will be revealed at Nurnberg show, on Jan 31st.

Markko's car is nr 6. I can't seem to find who's car the 23 Focus is. (Duval???), but at the same time I'm surely hopeful Markings for the nr 6 will also be included.

This is good news, saves a lot of work.
The picture shown is from the tour de corse, rally de france 2002.
Driver is francois duval.

I wanted to build this car, from a tamiya ford focus 2001 kit with a renessaince transkit. It seems as if tamiya doesn't want me to do that :(

The car is still a 2001 model, so the hood and other stuff needs changine. That is, unless the picture on the Tamiya site is there to just represent the livery. :(

Judging by the picture it is Duval's car from the Tour de Corse where he competed in a 2001 spec car. Martin competed in this rally as number six in a 2002 car but in Martini livery. So all you Marco fans out there will be a bit dissapointed.

Looks like Tamiya are looking for ways to get the most out of their existing molds, since they will not have to change any of the plastic from the 2001 Monte kit.

On the bright side if the picture is anything to go by it might come with 16 spoke Oz wheels with the four stud Ford pattern. They will look exceptionaly cool :D

It indeed is an older model. I see it now you mention it.
The air intake on top is also different (that made me wonder in the first place), the 2002 model has a more wider one.

Anyway, as i wanted to build the 2002 ford focus model driven by Markko Märtin, i still have some work to do to make it a 2002 version. hooray :D

We'll see what tamiya brings us.

Btw, doesn't this car have 15 spoke wheels?

This is exactly what I feared

What are the chances of Tamiya including a correct hood on a separate tree or something? Not too great, are they :(

That woul be nice. Although they may just include the 5-lug 2002 Pug kit wheels...

Doh! Yeah... What he said!

Ford used to use 16 spoke Oz, but at some stage they have lost a spoke!
