Acura TSX (4 door Version of the RSX)Melt 01-06-2003, 04:46 PM Anyhow, I was looking at some photos of the TSX concept online today, and was thinking to myself, damn that thing looks like a camry. I then went online and looked at pics of camary's and upon finding this pic of a solara (2 dr sporty version of the camry) concluded that honda needs to stop stealing styling from other cars, since I think that the new accords look a lot like mercedes benses. Comparison Pics ... Melt 01-06-2003, 11:43 PM I still think honda stole it, Solara has been around since 1997. NSX 01-08-2003, 07:59 PM Originally posted by Melt I still think honda stole it, Solara has been around since 1997. Possibly...but its their car. It's not like Honda snuck people into Toyota to steal the blueprints of the Solara. Just let it be. NSX 01-10-2003, 12:01 AM Actually, it reminds ne if the new Mazda 6. CrazyFukr 01-12-2003, 01:23 PM "Acura TSX = Japanese Accord." *sighs* wow.... *sighs* accord = honda honda = japanese acura = honda honda and acura are the same fucking thing they are allowed to copy from themselves dutchaccord 01-23-2003, 05:27 PM TSX= EUROPEAN ACCORD :D  KrNxRaCer00 01-27-2003, 01:06 PM Originally posted by CrazyFukr "Acura TSX = Japanese Accord." *sighs* wow.... *sighs* accord = honda honda = japanese acura = honda honda and acura are the same fucking thing they are allowed to copy from themselves er? i think he knew that...its jus like them callin integras honda integra in japan. not really too big of a deal tho...an NSX, the mazda 6 is so sweet...much better styling then the TSX NSX 01-27-2003, 03:47 PM Originally posted by KrNxRaCer00 the mazda 6 is so sweet...much better styling then the TSX Well...I think Honda copied the styling; but under the hood; the TSX has the upper-hand. In Japan there is an Accord, in Europe there is a different Accord, in America... again a different Accord. No the TSX is not based on the American Accord, no it is not based on the Japanese Accord... IT IS based on the European Accord. Why did Acura/Honda do this, they are trying to keep a name but improve on the design of the previous car for each seperate market. On market needed to be bigger, one smaller, one more powerful and small. The powerful and small one is what the TSX is (called an Accord Type S in Europe). KrNxRaCer00 02-23-2003, 03:37 AM yea...they have accords in euro. so? i never mentioned the accord. i don't really understand where ur comin from  (not tryin to sound like a jackass at all, seriously don't kno wut ur talkin bout). I'm just making sure that you know that just because the Acura RSX (or Acura Integra) is America=Honda Integra in Japan, doesn't mean that the American Honda Accord=Japanese Honda Accord, it also doesn't mean that the American Acura TSX=Japanese Honda Accord, it also doesn't mean that the American Acura TSX=American Honda Accord. What the Acura TSX is, is the European Honda Accord Type S. There is three types of Honda Accords, all different cars, and the TSX is one of them, European Honda Accord Type S. The TSX is also not the European Honda Accord Euro R. So actually, there is four different types. Three of the four have the same basic body with different engines and exterior additions, while the American Accord is an entirely different body. You know what, what the HECK is an Accord, nowadays, anyway. I think Honda just ruined it. Ok, got it. That's what I was saying. Some people seem to be confused. If I confused you more, then I guess you'll never understand. KrNxRaCer00 02-23-2003, 07:27 PM haha...i understood wut u were sayin the 1st time, jus didn't understand ur point. now i understand u didn't want me thinking they were all the same in japan an euro an america. but i guess ur point was made...don't really see the point of it tho, ah well, i sorta learned something new (since u make it sound as if we are all hopeless :D ) ooo...an i kno i sound like a jackass...its ok tho this time. It's all good. I might have underestimated you guys. TakimotoRacing 03-11-2003, 06:29 PM Ok, Heres the rundown... Acura=Luxury Division of Honda found in USA, Canada, and UK Honda=Acura Acura=Honda Japanese Accord=Small & Fast European Accord=Small & Fast W/Small Engines American Accord=Big & Not so Fast W/Big Engines all three models are different. In all, there are 8 Accord models. In the US there are the Sedans and Coupes, and in Europe and Japan they also have a wagon model. Each particular region has its own tastes, say here in america we like em big, so US Accords are big, with big engines. In Europe, they literally cant fit in certain places (Athens, Greece, for example. My parents' Euro Accord (2.0L) is MASSIVE over there compared to, say, a Toyota Vitz or Nissan Micra) and they also have smaller engines because larger displacement engines get taxed up the a$$. The Euro Accords look similar to the TSX, but a little more aggressive in the front. The japanese Accords are somewhere in between. This i know because i spend summer in Greece with my relatives, i go to school in the US, and i was in Japan two years ago with my father. Oh, BTW, Euro Accord Coupes are in their last yr of production vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
