Hello everyone,

We recently had our first new addition to our family :flash: , and as such I am now confronted on having to place a child seat in the back of my '01 330Ci.

Well when I tried installing the seat this weekend I was not very successful. I could not properly set the seat up on either side of the back seat, the only place I was able to do it was in the middle of the seat using the seat belt that is located there, however after looking in my car manual it doesn't look like BMW certifies the placement of a child seat in this location.

Has anyone been able to indeed place a child seat in the back of their E46 coupe?, and if so what brand child seat did you guys use and where did you place it?

Needless to say I won't take my baby girl for rides on my car until I get this resolved.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Watch her head when you take her out! Its not as easy to get your child out as the 330i:)

Have you consulted BMW? Maybe they can insert child seat mechanisms to help you.

Sorry I can't offer any advice, but none the less, congratulations on your new addition. My kids and grand kids are beyond special seats. (Finally!):D :sun:
