FINISHED: Tamiya 350/Fairlady Z! **PICS**Bimmerkid 01-04-2003, 08:20 AM :D This went together extremely well, having just built a Revell. Color is Rust-Oleum Cobalt Blue Metallic (Yes, I like Home Depot spray paint, lol) and the interior is all black, since I couldn't find the right color for the seats. Well, here we go. http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/602326350zfin1.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/223655350Zfin2.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/604858350Zfin3.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/689148350Zfin4.jpg No subtitles, I forgot what order the pics were in. There we go, all images should work now. Bimmerkid 01-04-2003, 08:50 AM Eh, the middle 2 aren't working. fastlife 01-04-2003, 09:43 AM Nice Job on the car. Gotta love the metal flakes in the paint. Bimmerkid 01-04-2003, 01:50 PM I guess nobody cares. Besides fastlife, that is. supratuner 01-04-2003, 01:54 PM man thats a nice 350, is that a supra in the back ground? Bimmerkid 01-04-2003, 01:56 PM Uh-huh. :) It's the Castrol Tom's supra, the next project. Midnight Racer 01-04-2003, 01:57 PM Great job on the 350.Love the paint. Bimmerkid 01-04-2003, 02:02 PM Yeah, that paint has to be my new favorite color. :sun: chaos 01-04-2003, 02:58 PM Good going - love the colour! Misundaztood 01-04-2003, 03:05 PM It's a very beautiful model. Nice job.:) lotus_man 01-04-2003, 03:47 PM Nice build! Whats with the Toms Supra? I've just about finished mine (just gotta do the body), but it seems to be real popular round here at the moment! tonioseven 01-04-2003, 03:50 PM If I keep seeing builds like this one, I'm gonna push my 350 to the top of my start list!! Great work! The blue suits well! Bimmerkid 01-04-2003, 10:19 PM Thanks everyone, I appreciate having so many good comments. There are little mistakes you son't really see, though.. The right headlamp lens is frosted (testors cement-aagh!) glue stain right in the middle of the windsheild- touched it with gluey fingers front wipers are missing..(if they're smart, they won't drive their Z in the rain, might couse rust...;)) Honoturtle 01-04-2003, 10:40 PM Hey, I just got the same cutting board as you today, haven't tried it out yet, but is it really "self-healing"? Anyways, color came out real well, I like the metallic effect, if we got all the Z's on this forum together, this will definatly stand out! darkness 01-05-2003, 04:13 AM damn I just bought that one as a first kit. Jay! 01-05-2003, 05:49 AM Looks great... BTW, looked in the Gallery yet today? :) (and welcome to the modeling forum, darkness. ;) ) darkness 01-05-2003, 05:58 AM cheers Jay. Jonno 01-05-2003, 06:45 AM Looks cool, although on the next model, you should try and sand off the mold lines. (Next time, don't tell us about your mistakes, I would of never noticed the windshield and the headlight, ;) ) Bimmerkid 01-05-2003, 01:21 PM Originally posted by Honoturtle Hey, I just got the same cutting board as you today, haven't tried it out yet, but is it really "self-healing"? Yeah, it's really nice. Some of the deeper ones take a couple of days, but they come out eventually. primera man 01-05-2003, 06:55 PM Nice.....i always think that blue or red looks best on this car.
