i want a Bmw and im getting close to buying my first car. Of corse i would love a 2002 M3 but that will never happen. So im thinking of either a 1988-90 converable or a 92-93 325is. I have about $3500 i know thats not alot and a joke to most of you. But i do have alittle hope in the fact taht my moms boyfriend owns a shop taht can do body work and engines stuff like that... Can some one help me out and tell me what way to go. Speed is important to me but bein a first car i dont want to lose my license right away. Just let me know what i can do with what i have and if i have any other options that look hot like those too. thanks

go for the 93 325is if you can find one cheap enough there usually hard to come by but there basically bullet proof engines and they run forever ive got a few eta's (the e30's like the convertable ur looking at) and they all have over 170k on them and they all crank up with out hesitation.
