Anyone have any tips on paining Hoods/Fenders/Wings/Interior pieces to look like real Carbon Fiber?
I've gotten "good" results by painting hoods and wings with a base coat of black primer. Letting it dry, then stretching out an old pair of Nylons and giving a few light sprays over top. Letting it dry, then applying a few gloss coats.
I tried it a couple times with screen-door mesh but the mesh wouldn't get tight enough to the part and it wouldn't come out looking "clean".
Any other suggestions?

The stretched nylons idea sounds pretty clever...might try it...
