Help computer problems?

Ok here is what i did my car was running great idle good and everything well i when over to my friends house to pic up my new computer zyden zc. so we shut off the car unpluged the computer and pluged it back in that is all we did, start the car up and the throtle is going from 500 1500 rpm just up and down. ok so we unhook this computer and plug the old computer back in and the problem is still there what could have changed just bye unhooking and hooking up the computer. i am really starting to dislike my honda any help would be great.

Umm did you disconnect the battery before switching ecu's. If not God only knows what you might have done by changing them with the power still in.

Sounds like it was doing what it should. Try letting it learn your motor for a day or two.

the idle is going up and down very fast it should doing that? it just does not sound right the computer should not have to learn the car it is OBD0, and if it should i have drove it about 50 miles now still no change.

Eh, beats me. I remember in my friends 93 hatch, his new ecu caused the idle to surge for awhile. It finally just smoothed out.
the idle is going up and down very fast it should doing that? it just does not sound right the computer should not have to learn the car it is OBD0, and if it should i have drove it about 50 miles now still no change.

Sounds like EGR valve problem to me
