Reckless Driving Charge.BLOODshot6669 12-18-2007, 12:28 AM I have a court date in a couple of days for Reckless driving, what I admitted to was going 35 miles an hour in a 25 and my friend was on the hood of my car. I was polite to the police officer, and he made a note of that, not sure if that matters or not. He said that I might lose my licence or something along the lines? I'm 16 years old and its a first offense, class 2 misdimeaner i beleive he called it. Any chance that i get to keep my licence or am i pretty much boned?:banghead: drdisque 12-18-2007, 10:38 PM In your state as a 16 year old are you under some sort of conditional license? If so you will probably lose your license until you are 18. If not it will just be a big fine if you get a lawyer and can probably get out of a license suspension or at least be allowed to drive to school. Seriously though, lots of kids get killed by riding on cars, it's stupid, don't do it again. BLOODshot6669 12-19-2007, 12:20 AM No, i have my graduated drivers licence. The problem is though, I don't have money for a lawyer, especially if there is going to be a fine. =[ So untill 18? 21? Any chance there can be a 6 month suspention, or some driving classes at all? The court case is tomorrow, so there wouldn't be time for a lawyer in any case. And i realize it was incredibly stupid of me to do, it was just a spontaneous moment of immaturity i'm afraid, it was never going to happen again before i got caught. This is a mandatory court appearance and one of them will have to go with you. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
