I look forward to more... joelwideqvist 12-14-2007, 05:25 AM Nice! Tell us some more, please! Is it the image or is that a white metal frame?! Where did you get the rear tire? Build looks promising, what color is it gonna be? /Joel sportracer02 12-14-2007, 06:11 AM Hi Joel, maybe it was the bad light yesterday evening, no, it is just the dechromed frame from the kit. Engine wonīt be very detailed, as it can hardly be seen under the fairing. The rear tire you find here http://www.automobilminiaturen.de/shop/xtcommerce/index.php?cat=c86_Revell-Bikes-1-12.html , of course the wheel needs some changes, that it will fit. Concerning the colour one thing is sure: This is not what it will be:    http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/28/1077928/6533663639663237.jpg ... this will be a toy for boys, not girls, so it might be light blue :dunno: gionc 12-14-2007, 06:13 AM Ipressive! I'll see well also front 1art fork, like Bimota thesi ;) sportracer02 12-14-2007, 06:23 AM Ipressive! I'll see well also front 1art fork, like Bimota thesi ;) Interesting idea, Gio, but than it seems be easier, to start with the Bimota kit. klutz_100 12-20-2007, 12:00 AM Yummy!! I love it you crazy German!! :D I like your title - very suitable to the project ;) Concerning the colour one thing is sure: This is not what it will be:    http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/28/1077928/6533663639663237.jpg So in fact you are not as crazy as I thought :( ... :evillol: ;) j/k scrappyj1 12-20-2007, 10:53 AM Micha- This is one nice Busa. I like the name of the project too. The swing arm looks good. I'm thinking about doing my busa or ZXRR stretched and salmmed too. I thought about doint the swing arm in brass and that way I could chrome it, but haven't decided yet. I hear you on the details on the motor as it won't be seen. Sometimes I detail areas that won't be seen and wonder why. Keep us updated on this project. It is sweet. sportracer02 12-22-2007, 04:17 AM Hi, body is painted, as promised not in pink :evillol: http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/28/1077928/1024_3363306361383565.jpg (sorry for the bad photo, but I guess, colour comes out great) sportracer02 12-28-2007, 10:45 AM Hi, just a little update to show, whatīs coming up ... http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/28/1077928/6435393232393965.jpg joelwideqvist 12-28-2007, 12:06 PM Ha ha, wonderful!! I am enjoying where this is going, and the Gulf livery is cool! So I feel bad about popping just to ask: The rear tire you find here http://www.automobilminiaturen.de/shop/xtcommerce/index.php?cat=c86_Revell-Bikes-1-12.html , of course the wheel needs some changes, that it will fit. Who makes that tire? Shipping to the USA from overseas is a lot, and I'd love to find a stateside distributor. Thanks! quadzero 12-31-2007, 10:11 PM Hey Micha, beautiful work you are doing here, excellent idea for the livery. I don't know much about this bike but its gorgeous. Before the paint went on, it reminded me of some futuristic bike like you'd find in the movie Tron. sportracer02 01-02-2008, 08:57 AM Who makes that tire? Shipping to the USA from overseas is a lot, and I'd love to find a stateside distributor. Hi willmo, I guess this tire is a production of automobilminiaturen. Here some update: Parts after covering with clear (no polishing yet) http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/28/1077928/6466353036666138.jpg front wheel with etched brake-discs http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/28/1077928/6532333732636664.jpg http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/28/1077928/3938613837316630.jpg as mentioned: engine and frame nearly OOB, will later be hidden by the body-parts http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/28/1077928/6231623837666335.jpg kunta 01-02-2008, 09:34 AM Hayabusa with Gulf color is nice idea! wondeful paint job and that is very impressive project. joelwideqvist 01-02-2008, 11:00 AM Getting better all the time! Mock-up pliiiizzzzzzz :D can't wait :D Yeeeeeees :D:D:D joelwideqvist 01-16-2008, 12:26 PM Top cowl looks very clean! /Joel sportracer02 01-17-2008, 02:07 PM Hi, thanks for the comments !!! A wide rear tire brings a problem: the tire and the chain will have contact. But there is a solution: the chain must be placed a little bit more away from the longitudinal axis. No problem at the rear axle, but usually the chain leads between transmisson and frame to the bevel wheel. So you need another axle with 2 bevel wheels at the swingarm. Here a 1:1 bike: http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/28/1077928/6238633131616239.jpg here at the model: Chain from transmission to "bevel wheel axle" http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/28/1077928/3135323962313830.jpg etched chain from "bevel wheel axle" to the rear http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/28/1077928/6134666164643364.jpg http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/28/1077928/3866666334636636.jpg later this area will get a cover, similar to the 1:1 photo http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/28/1077928/3764656533333334.jpg ketje 01-17-2008, 02:47 PM this is interesting sportracer02 01-21-2008, 04:40 PM Hi, yes you wait for a mock up, but before I had to solve some problems fixing the rear wheel, nevertheless here is a little update: Frontfairing 95% finished http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/28/1077928/3436313831666132.jpg http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/28/1077928/3939336232346138.jpg chain: http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/28/1077928/3764643362376332.jpg http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/28/1077928/3930363433613432.jpg Cover for the bevel wheels http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/28/1077928/3231623132653361.jpg Maybe someone realized, that I opened the area, where the co-driver sits. Here I put in a NOS-bottle, built like this: upper part of a injektion http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/28/1077928/3535333566303532.jpg putty, sanding, primered http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/28/1077928/6338363264333535.jpg coloured in blue, handwheel from a firebrigade-kit http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/28/1077928/6636666666613262.jpg can look like this http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/28/1077928/6135633636326635.jpg (sorry for the photos) quadzero 01-21-2008, 05:00 PM I really like the swingarm with the cable loops you made. The front fairing is fantastic, super clean with the signal lights and mesh. robrex 01-21-2008, 05:24 PM Very interesting idea for the chain? I wondered how you would fix that problem with clearance? Is that NOS for a suicide run??? I wouldn't want to ride it! Murray Kish 01-21-2008, 09:18 PM Very cool. Great idea for paint/livery. It'll be a real eye-catcher! Nice work Murray klutz_100 01-22-2008, 12:02 AM Is that NOS for a suicide run???
