I have a 1998 GMC Sierra 1500 4x4. I was wondering what I need to do to replace the inteior driver side door handle? I baught the handle assembly but I don't know how to remove the old one and insert the new one. Are there screws that hold it in or does it just "snap" in?

I think there is a rivet on these that you can either punch or drill out. Then just use a bolt, washer and locknut in its place. From what I understand it is not that difficult a job. I believe the outer trim piece just snaps off.

You might try posting on the Chevrolet C/K forum as it gets a little more traffic. Maybe someone there could direct you a little better.

Hey thanks for the reply. I removed that rivit like you said and I got the handle off. It was all pretty cut and dry after that. Thanks for the info.
