I have a 99 Camry giving me fits with the dome lights and clock. And now I am beating my head against the wall trying to figure this out. First off there is a 30 amp fuse in place of the 7.5 one (Telling me there is a problem). Second that the 30 amp fuse is good. I tested for power at all the lamp locations and I get nothing. I took the bulbs out and tested them on the bench, and of course they work great. I am also getting a bulb out light on the dash ,but everything else on the car works. Could this be on because of the dome lights? Is there a relay for the dome lights, because I can't locate it. Any help would be apreaciated

Look to see if there is any crap in the cigarette lighter. I believe the three are fused together.

Buy a box of 7.5 amp fuses and try reinstalling a fuse and watch it blow. Now disconnect components in that circuit until the fuses stop blowing. You can do the same with a DC ammeter. Just hook it in series.

It's likely with a 30 amp fuse in there, something has fried. Look for burnt wiring or components.

There is a link to Camry service manuals at the top of the forum. Download the electrical diagram and go from there. Test all the components in the coresponding circuit like previous posters recomended.

Well it's not only the dome lights and clock. The sunroof is also not working. Now there is no way the sunroof and dome light share the same fuse. So the intergration relay must be the problem. Now the question is does anyone now what this relay looks like? The manual you guys told me to look at is not real detailed on location.

My guess would be that the sun roof motor connections have corroded to the point where they don't work. Ditto for your door open switches to turn on your dome light. I just finished taking apart and cleaning the door open switches for the dome light on my '92 (shoulda taken pics to post on here...they work great now!)

Question: Does the battery voltage drop if the car is left sitting for a while? If so, that will indicate a short somewhere. An ammeter tapped in place of the fuse can show the amount of drain (check to make sure your meter can handle the amps first!). Check with the key in all positions (OFF, ACC, ON, etc.) and also with doors closed, open, and pressing the sunroof open/close buttons. Changes on the meter readout will indicate power flow.

7.5A does sound low for run both dome light and sunroof, but who knows for sure? Check the wiring diagram.
