I was on my way to my daughter's bball game going about 60 or 65 and my engine went dead. Now my car will not start.

It could be a number things. The fuel pump may have quit, the coil may have failed, or the timing belt may have broken, just to name a few of the most obvious.
Does it have spark when you crank it over? If you remove the distributor cap, does the rotor turn when you crank it? If you crank it a bit then pull a spark plug, is the plug wet?
