Truck died last night...fuel problems?kaltblitz 12-11-2007, 11:29 AM I know this is a Chevrolet forum but I have a '02 GMC Sierra (4.8L) and wondered what your thoughts were on this. I was driving my truck last night when it suddenly died at around 35 MPH. The engine sputtered and acted like it was not getting fuel and then cut. This does not seem to be a batter/alternator issue as power remained on and was bright. I could restart the truck and the engine would turn over, but then it would suddenly sputter and die again. Any thoughts? tempfixit 12-11-2007, 11:40 AM Any check engine light? Check for codes. Check fuel pressure Check battery cable ends and posts for corrosion (Take positvie cables apart). Last tune up? kaltblitz 12-11-2007, 11:55 AM The Check Engine light did not come on until after it had stalled out. The last service was done about 20k miles ago. I do not have the ability to check the codes myself so I ended up towing it to the dealer's service department. They said they don't have a chance to look at it today. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
