2008 ram 4x4 MDS 5.7L??

:runaround: What have I done? I did not do my homework I guess before I purchased this new rig, This multidisplacement engine is really "so far" nothin I would write home about. I can't figure the damb thing out. 2000 miles at this point and the only alter was a muffler and twin tail pipes at the right rear. Just for some sound! That is when It all started, I think,ERRRGH! Between the autotrans, and the running on 4 cylinders at any given time it seems, and having to turn off o/d & or tow/haul just to drive it in town, is a pain in the ass. And with the new exhust, it sounds like I got a loaf of bread stuffed up my pipes {durring MDS}4. Any Ideas, thoughts, or solutions, send em this way. Thanks!

I have the same issues but so far no answers. I am looking for some way to turn off the MDS completely and I hear it can be done with some aftermarker products but so far, I haven't found anything like that.

NOTHING LIKE AN INGINE RUNNING JUST TO MAKE PISTONS MOVE FOR NOTHING DRAGING DOWN THE REST.........IT'S A LOSE LOSE:banghead:

I am sick of the MDS already and only have 2100 miles on it, dealer says it's still learning and nothing he can do, this is normal. I hate it, I wish I had known before I purchased it, if you or anyone else has found a way to turn it off or adjust it to freeway speed only please let me know.
This thing starts up and idles on 4 cyl, I can drive it all day and it not change out if I am easy on it, here's the scary part, MPG is the same for me, it sucks.
HELP!
