View Full Version : How do consumers get information to car designers? How do consumers get information to car designers? smog city 12-10-2007, 10:07 PM It was a waste of 90 minutes. After having us look at and rate 8 different cosmetic designs for head and tail lights, they sent us home. We never got to talk about performance, milage, reliability, carbon emissions, not even cargo space. This whole damn hour and a half focus group was about shallow image! I bought my Madza because gas costs a fortune in LA and my garage is narrow (1930) and the car is damn reliable. Somwhere way down on my list I may have thought the jaunty tail lights were cute as a button, but probably not. Mazda is paying fools to get their customer input! And I hope Madza learns to focus on more important aspects of their cars than this reduculous thing I just participated in. Does anyone know how to tell automakers that many of us want them to prioritize solid aspects fo the car like milage, space, hybrids, warentee.. things more meaningful than a bunch of slightly angled head lights.
