But it is like building a car body out of a thousand coat hangers. 3d Modeling is like an exotic form of psychological torture. It is amazing how time consuming and dry it is. I totally suck at it and could never bring myself to put in the time it takes to build a car. It is like tracing 3 cars just to get the rough shape of one car. And then addng detail until your eyes don't work anymore. Your work looks nice though. nicecar 12-30-2007, 07:56 AM If modeling were more like sculpting or z brush, I would be all over it. I still want to learn it though :P talonboy3 01-03-2008, 11:18 AM If modeling were more like sculpting or z brush, I would be all over it. Actually I do have zbrush and sculpting is way to fun, yet you are still putting a lot of time into zbrush projects as well, the cool thing about zbrush is that you can set up presets of brushes and make bumps and such other details. Side to that, zbrush is a app that is good for organic modeling as to 3Ds Max does both, but is strong when it comes to hard surface modeling. When getting started it can be tough and frustrating, but when you start knowing what you are doing it can be fun like sculpting. I am still learning things in car modeling, and I don't think it will ever stop lol but one thing I know, is that I improved and that modeling a car is going faster for me at this point. I just never give up. just my opionion. ;) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v697/talonboy3/viperHDR_test.jpg talonboy3 01-05-2008, 02:01 PM time to go black style, starting to layout the side of the car. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v697/talonboy3/viper15.jpg thadude 03-23-2008, 02:20 PM Looks nice and smooth so far :) Related Links Participate in thousands of discussions at AutomotiveForums.com!
