Hi guys,

Just about to buy a Corolla Twin Cam. That is 86-90 Ae86 FWD Corolla putting out 86kW. Just wondering if I need Regular (91 RON), Premium (96 RON) or Optimax (98 RON). I know the more the merrier, but the more the more bloody expensive!!

Just use Regular, the high grade stuff makes no differents to this car.

Thought so. Thanks. If I hear death rattle, I'll switch higher ;)

Umm, the AE86 is the RWD Corolla... Isn't the 86+ FWD Corolla the AE92(not sure)?

Probably. My bad. I mean the first of the two generations that came out with 4A-GE engines. First gen (one this concerns) had 86kW and second had 100kW.

the higher the c/r (this applies to n/a) the higher the octane gas..

otherwise, it's a waste of cash
