Neutral WireGreenblurr93 12-07-2007, 01:06 PM Ill keep it short and simple... Car: 93 Civic EX (manual trans) Does my car have a neutral wire? Getting new alarm and remote start installed... and the installer wont install the start unless theres a neutral wire. He wont install switches because he said they are too unreliable ponchonutty 12-09-2007, 09:04 AM No there isn't one that I know of. You could use part # 689M from Directed Electronics though. PaulD 01-07-2008, 10:27 PM neutral is associated with auto trannys. Putting auto-start on a manual tranny is a lot more work. Greenblurr93 01-08-2008, 06:55 AM I got the D.E. #689M which is made for putting remote start in manual tranny's. thanks for the help. this can be locked anytime now ponchonutty 01-09-2008, 07:14 AM PaulD, not always. There are some vehicles with manual trannys that have a nuetral wire simular to how the nuetral lights work on motorcycles. Granted its few and far between though. DEI's part number 689D makes it an effective and safe install for a starter to be installed in a manual car. ImportBuilder 01-11-2008, 11:56 PM Wow, I've been waiting for this module for a bout a year, and I forgot it was coming out! I'll definitely be picking this up and finding my relay satellite for my Viper 5900 :) PaulD 01-12-2008, 10:00 AM hmmm .... I might have to look that up to see a pic of it. It would be interesting. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
