i can hear the fuel pump running
it has a new tune up on it cap rotor coil ect...
after the car is warm it starts up with no troubles
if it sit for 2 or 3 hours you have to crank the crap out of it

hey robert.

my first suggestion would be to stop using starter fluid. that stuff isn't good for engines on a regular basis.

next thing i would do, because its the easiest, is to seafoam the top of the motor, and run some through the fuel. that stuff works wonders sometimes. search seafoam in the camry forum. ToysRme wrote an excellent how to.

did you also replace the spark plugs and cables?

try testing for fuel pump pressure. you may here it running but it might not be up to spec, because of worn pump or clogged fuel filter or both! if that checks out, check the values on the coolant temp sensor. it may not be giving the obd1 computer enough info to give enough fuel, when the car is cold? cleaning the throttle body can never hurt?

their are some other things that cause your problem, i'm sure others will chime in! mike
