The lighter and the other auxillary socket won't work and I checked the fuse and it's good. I used another GOOD fuse to double-check it. What else can I check before I take it to a mechanic ? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated

Did you check the fuse in the engine bay or just the one inside the passenger compartment? There are two different fuses depending on which one goes out.
