Best cars for highways are in general quite big sedans (like E class, 5 Series, 300C, etc.). My favourite in this exercise would be the Citroën C6 with pneumatic suspensions, you can drive for a whole day at an high speed without beeing asleep arriving at the destination.
The best remains big sedans like S class or A8 or more sporty, the Quattroporte.
