Improve your Kia gas milage by 2 -3 MPG free

I now own my first Kia, I have nothing but good to say about the warranty work, and the fact that I love this car. I wasn't real happy about the gas milage, but I have found a way to improve it. I have found that alot of new cars that have A/C, including mine, the A/C compressor is always on even if the heat is on. It was brought up at the dealer and they told me they all do it! ??? The only way the compressor shuts off is if you turn the whole temp. control, and fan off. This seems like a poor way to for auto manufactures to get the most fuel economy out of a vehical.
SO I have removed the A/C relay in the cooler months, and have noticed a 2.7 MPG increase. The relay is in a black plastic box under the hood on the drivers side. Just pull the relay, and leave it in the box for summer use. It works for me! Let me know how you do
