89 TBI 305 cold blooded, no high idle warm upgrandad1066 11-22-2007, 07:44 PM I have a 89 firebird with the 305 TBI in it. Earlier in the yr I had a day when it was over fueling itself big time. I mean it was smokin black bad. That kinda just quit suddenly. But now it is so cold blooded you have to feather the throttle till it warms up a bit then it runs just fine. Does this sound like a coolant sensor??? I really don't want to take it somewhere and hook it on a computer. Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks maxwedge 11-23-2007, 03:30 PM To avoid guess work a full scan will monitior the temp sensor from cold, as well as other issues that could cause this. Jerald_Wren 12-14-2007, 08:51 AM I have a 1993 S-10 that floods bad when you first start it. Then it runs fine. It is also a TBI. maxwedge 12-14-2007, 04:09 PM Welcome to AF, try not to jump into a thread, start a new one in the truck specific forum, thanks. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
