Only thing is the AF gallery is 'broken' so use a photo hosting site like imageshack.com and copy the image url's from there.

Below is a PM I sent to someone to help them with the same problem - it seemed to help them so maybe it will help you.

First of all you will need to register at photobucket.com and set up an album account - this is where your images will physically be posted. On AF you will just post links to those images and they will automatically appear in your threads.

let me try and explain.

The no 1 basic info is that you will find it easier if you have 2 windows open in your browser - one for AF and one for Photobucket.

1. upload your images to photobucket = I guess you kno whow to do this. I recommend 800x600 pixels max, 100 to 150KB each to be friendly to other members ;)

2. start your post/thread in AF

3. Write whatever you want to write and when you reach a point where you want to insert an image switch to your photobucket window.

4. Below each of your images in photobucket you will see a list of 4 different kinds of image tags: Share URL, URL Link, HTML Tag and IMG Code.
THe one you are interested in is IMG Code

5. Copy this link and paste it in the appropriate place in your post. You should have something like this ([ IMG]http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y247/klutz100/WIPs/BMW%20M1/P6270602-copy.jpg[/IMG ]) NOTE I have added a space inside the square brackets to trick AF into NOT showing the photo in this PM! :lol:. If you now preview your post you should see that you now have your image in the preview.

6. carry on writing and pasting links, preview your finished post and submit it if you are happy

You very quickly get the hang of it.

What I usually do is first of all select in PB ALL the images I will want to use in post and then hit the "Generate HTML and IMG code" button at the bottom of the page. I then copy and paste ALL the links (you'll see what I mean) into the AF edit window or word document and then play around with the post in there.

Interestingly, you can also use PB to host video files

and animated GIFs which can also be linked in your posts.

There you are. I hope I haven't managed to make a simple job sound even more complicated :lol:

At the end of the day it is pretty intuitive and just practice a coupe of times and you will quickly pick it up.
