My power windows are being really weird. They work sometimes and don't others but when they do they are really slow and go part way up each time. It is a '98 firebird V-6. PLease help its getting cold here in Utah.

sounds like a window motor going up

As stated above, it's def the dreaded power window motors. They can be a PITA if you have never changed them before. Took me about 30 mins last time I did one on my 99. I read somewhere that the ground wire (factory) is too small so I replaced both drivers and passengers ground wire with larger gauge. So far they are still working (2 years) butt they are still fairly slow. Time to lube the regulator channels again.
Good luck!

BTW what part of Utah are you in? I go to the Vernal area somewhat often.

All tho the motors could be the culpret, I find it a little strange that both are acting erratic the same way. It leads me to think more of a charging/power issue.

"but when they do they are really slow and go part way up each time" that is what makes me say motor not electrical

The paower window motors (factory) in f-bodies has abi-metal stip in the powerlead going to the brushes of the motor. This will heat up when the motor is "dragging" and cause the motor to stop working untill the bi-metal strip cools down. It acts as a circuit breaker and it's purpose is to stop the motor when the window is either fully up or down.
Cuda Dude is completly correct in assuming a motor issue, not an electrical issue.
Trevor, one thing that might help is to take off your inner door panels and lube the channels the the regulator guides are in You'll see what I mean when you look at them. The guides either have a plastic wheel or block the slides in a "c" shaped channel the runs horizontally. Used some silicon grease in the "c" channel, and some silicon spray lube on the scissor joints. This may help the windows glide up and down easier untill you cam replace the motors(if still needed)
Hope this helps !
