The 262 CID V-6 (4.3L) has the same bellhousing bolt pattern as the SBC V-8s. In other words, yes, it should. The question is whether the T-5 which was bolted behind the V-6 will live behind the V-8. The other question is the pilot bushing, and if the 305 has a crank for a two-piece rear main seal or one-piece rear main.

Im pretty sure its an older block (2 pc.) and i dont care if it doesnt live long since i can get one for about $100.
