A whiner

I get a (front end) whining noise on my 07 outback when I come to a stop. It also continues again for a few seconds when I start to accelerate after the stop.

This only happens after car is completely warmed up. Car has about 12,000 miles, & although it seemed early for brake replacement/problems, I had Subaru pull wheels & inspect, but brakes were fine.

I also checked all fluids, and all were OK.

Sub. service could not hear whine because day I was scheduled to bring it in, it was raining,(naturally). So I am going to bring it back on a dry day.

In the meantime, I wanted to see if anyone else had run into this, and if so, was a cause diagnosed?

Thanks!
