I currently own, and enjoy for the most part, an '02 accord EX-v6 coupe. I realllllly want one of the new Nissan 350z's but I just dont see that as a practical move on my part for the time being. Sooo... I'm looking to upgrading to an '03 accord coupe. They're a little bigger and have 40 more hp added... so 240 up from 200. I'm looking forward to that. They've also redesigned the cockpit and it looks very very very nice.. new options.. and they FINALLY put the keyless entry buttons ON the key.. so no more annoying little extra clicker thingy on your keychain.

Ok.. I'm not here to try to sell you guys the car (although I think I could given the chance!) I was just wondering if any of you had any personal pictures of the new '03s.... the color options on the www.hondacars.com website just aren't up to par. They dont look anything like they do in person and its driving me crazy. My current accord is silver and I'm honestly just tired of it... I can't make up my mind what color I DO want though... so help would be greatly appreciated... and pictures too!

Thanks guys

i'm not here to knock ur idea but why would u sell a 02 for an 03 ?
i understand the 40 hp more idea but it seems like you would lose a good amount of money from making this deal..with the money you're gonna lose just think if u added it to your current accord. i'd think that you would make 40+ hp easily...if money is no object then why not just buy an 03 tl type-s?

I just took delivery of an Accord V6 Navi sedan. I traded an Audi S4 c navigation.
This Honda is THE BEST car I've ever owned or even driven. I've had Lexus LS 400s( 3), Lexus SCs (3), Infiniti Q45, Mercedes S andE(2) class, Porsche Boxster, Honda S2000 etc. etc. and nothing comes close. The car itself is excellent and exceeds all expectations, but the voice controlled navigation is the cat's meow. It is fabulous! You control the hvac and the audio as well as the navigation by voice. Great fun and very practical as I can do all of that stuff without taking my eyes off of the road. I haven't felt so much in charge since I got married! :)

I know I'm staying with the 02. While those extra ponies would be nice - I just dont think its worth taking the depreciation on the 02 to get them. Aside from the fact the VR4s satisfy the HP need.

You are correct, gunmen01, the Accord EX-V6 will be available with a 6-speed manual in January. However each dealer expects only 1 for the year !! So , lots of luck trying to get one!

huh? how do you figure one a year? honda isnt that stupid to release so few of them all the dealers will see more than one...just give them a little time...

I've spoken to my dealer and why she only expects one for the month of December/January, she's expecting many more than that to come. I dont know where you got your 1 a year number from but its incorrect. I do realize that some dealerships in smaller towns have been alotted a certain number, mostly to get as much over MSRP as possible... BUT an alottment is by no means the end of the road for someone who wants a 6spd Accord... even if your dealership is only getting one a year (for some really really odd reason that you should ask to be specified...) that shouldn't stop you or anyone else from ordering one through your dealership to your liking directly from the plant....

You must be kidding me. How could a Honda better than a Lexus or Mercedes?

Yeah.. I agree with topracer.. you've gotta be pokin some smot or something b/c there's no way this Accord, or any accord for that matter.. could be better than some of those cars you listed. But hey.. next time you get a car like that, give me a call and i'll GIVE you my Honda, deal?

i'll tell how Honda accord can be better than a Lexus or Mercedes, you can buy two or three accords for price of one those cars and getting very practical and reliable car.

Using that logic. I could get three Aspires for the price of an Accord. So that makes the Aspire a better car.

Actually, Honda will be producing VERY FEW of the Accord 6spd V6's.... let me explain why.

Let's go back to 2001.... the death and discontinuance of the prelude. Why? The prelude lost sales to another type of Honda... the Integra Type R/GSR. For the same price of a lude, you could get an integra that performed better for the most part. Honda shot themselves in the foot on their own prelude sales.

Now take the 6spd accord. It would cost around the same or even less, than the Acura CL-S 6spd, and may perform the same or even better. So why would you buy the CL-S when you could get an accord with a 6spd, the same features and options, the same luxury, and yet on par or even better performance.... all for about the same or even a little cheaper?

EXACTLY. Honda won't be making very many of the 6spd accords, because they don't want to steal their own sales. I guarantee you'll see very very few 6spd accords, and yes... most dealerships will only get 1 or 2 this year.

That car is fast as hell... My mom was gonna buy one( by the way my Honda dealer Has 7 in 5 diff. colors). She is a horrible stick driver and she kept forgetting its a 6 spd. But my dad (manual man) drove it and the acceralation was great. My dad Had that car running 95 almost a 100 (we know the sales man No drivers license checks) :p and it was very smooth. I jus dont like sticks as daily drivers. To much work and If your not trying to get pulled over slow as fuck taking off from stp light......

Haven't you heard that there won't be any 2004 cl's. 2003 was the last year...so if anything they would be keeping their sales.

It is true. The limited amount of v6 with the MT makes it very difficult to get! I just got mine in June, let me tell you if the dealer is willing to locate one and ultimately sell one they WILL! I wanted the navi too and that made it harder to find. Needless to say the dealership located one 400 miles from them the next day. All i had to do was pay the extra destination charge. This Car is worth every penny! Saphire blue with the areo kit and spoiler. The car is amazing.

Go get it

your best bet is to shop around online. I had mine done before I went to pick up the car. i paid about 2000 for all the extras included on the car. I had alot done to the interior also but it is all stock. the metal look is what i went for with the carbon fiber console. it looks sweet!

www.spolierdepot.com=the best for discounted spoilers!! and they are painted.

H and A is a pretty good site with some discounts.

Up here in Canada, we were told only 500 are available.
I was in turmoil between an Type-S RSX and the fictional (yes it wasnt even in stock and none were ordered in) Honda Accord V6 6 Speed EX-L Coupe. I went and bought the RSX, but thanks to a bud (Sales Mgr.), he let me sleep on it over nite and come back with a real answer in the morning. Well thats history now cause Ive had my Coupe 6-Speed for a bit over a month now and have logged over 1200 miles already:)
Man this thing is a piece of work!!
Sucks that only dudes are checking it out:P
Damn ladies, its a sweet ride:O)

anim8 is right,

for us canucks there are only 500 available in 2004 (03 I think around 240 were delivered) for the country, It took ~2.5 weeks for my silver one to come in and the dealership had to trade their black '04 to get it. I'm driving it in the winter so far, (I still have my old car but I'm not parking my new car) the TCS is really earning it's keep, when it gets slushy..and it does, it's almost impossible to launch without engaging it. It's pretty frustrating having a nice car when you can only drive it half the year!
