2007 LT Spare Tire - No TPM Sensor or Balance?

I just rotated my tires for the first time and decided to rotate the spare tire in. The LT came with the alloy wheels and even the spare tire has the good wheel and is full size. Anyhow I rotated the tires and called it a day.

The next day I got on the road to work and my TPM idiot light came on. I figured that the spare was low on air so I pulled into the first service station and added about 5 pounds, it was low. The light stayed on.

I have a feeling that Chevy didn't bother putting a TPM sensor in the spare tire. By the way, I didn't see any wheel balancing weights mounted on it either so I'm wondering if they even balance the spare tire.

Anyone know?

Well, I answered my own question. Chevy doesn't install TPM sensors on the spare wheels and then don't balance them either.

If you rotate your wheels, leave the spare out of the mix.
