Where is the cht located on the ls v8 2001 and would anyone no of a web site that would have the information I am looking for

The CHT is located on the left hand head underneath the intake manifold. You need to remove the intake manifold to access it.
You could access this information if you were a subscriber to Alldatadiy for your car. Other than that, I'm not aware of a website that has this type of information readily available. You could use the "Search this forum" tool from the Lincoln LS forum main page to search for it here, or use Google to see if it's been addressed on other Lincoln sites, etc.

it is about an inch inside of the #8 cylinder intake port on the head - like Rod said - you have to pull off the intake manifold to get to it.
