I have a chance to get a 2000 taurus cheap and it has the 3.0 in it and im wanting to know if any other years of that motor will fit in it or that i have to find one the same year i would greatly apreciate the help thanks

3.0 What

There are 3 motors available and they are all 3.0

Vulcan which is the OHV pushrod
FFV which is the Vulcan that runs on E85

and the 24V DOHC

Well i think it is the pushrod

The appropriate motor from earlier years will fit.

There may be some sensors that are different and the 2000 defiantely had a different upper intake manifold. That would probably have to be changed out.

You really need to know what you are asking about before anyone can give a conclusive answer
