rear diff 2000 dakotamaster hec0 10-31-2007, 10:59 PM what type of rear differential is on a 2000 dodge 4wd with a v6 and a 10bolt cover and does anyone have a 10bolt cover forsale? jdmccright 11-01-2007, 01:11 PM I'm not sure if they did this in 2k, but my '04 has a label inside the glovebox that shows the rear diff ratio. My truck has a 12-bolt, 3.55:1 rear diff. A call or visit to a dealer can call up all the options for your truck using the VIN number. Covers can be had almost anywhere...parts store, eBay, junkyard. Hope this helps! master hec0 11-02-2007, 08:28 PM scrappers wont sell you just the cover they sell complete assembly ebay only has 12bolt partstores dont carry it been to auto zone canadian tire partsource. buy then i went to a transmission place and they got me one for 70$. i was told that the 10bolt was a older assembly and probally came off an older vehicle xj31 11-02-2007, 11:46 PM a 10 bolt cover is an 8 1/4 ,12 bolt is a 9 1/4. I hate to tell you this but you got boned.A new cover for an 8 1/4 is $34.50 at a dealer.part number is 3723681AC.Them telling you that its from an older truck is wrong .They still use the 8 1/4,and that is what comes on a v-6 dakota, even 2008. master hec0 11-04-2007, 01:26 AM if i am not mistaken those would be american prices. plus even if their not he got the part to me next day. xj31 11-04-2007, 10:22 AM Yes,that is U.S. price,I didn't realize you were in Canada,so I don't know what it would be up there. master hec0 11-04-2007, 11:33 AM yeah we pay alot more for stuff even though our dollar is worth more. its kinda stupid vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
