83 xj6 heat/ac question

I just bought this jag. I have the internal heat/ac temp control set to 65 but heat is coming through the vents. I'm guessing there must be some kind of a flap that stops air from coming in and/or redirects air some how. any input is appreciated.

Also, any ideas/suggestions about how much $$ i'm looking at to get A/C working?

you need freon. $125 at the mechanic is the charge.

the most common problem with the ac controls is a thing called the amplifier.its kind of burred on the drivers side but i would find a good jaguar mechanic.or wast time and $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$4
