Where is the AC relay?boysatt 10-31-2007, 02:18 PM Baught a 94 taurus with a blown ac compressor, I replaced it and charged the system to the correct amount, but the compressor will not kick in, not getting any voltage to it. I checked the pressure switch and its good, and when you turn the panel to ac max the motor revs up expecting the compressor to kick in, but its not. I have verifyed the compressor clutch is working, ac panel switch works and pressure switch works, fuse is good. So where is a AC relay, as I cannot find it nor does any on my manuals say anything about the ac system. Mike TaurusKing 10-31-2007, 05:53 PM Possibly in the ccrm unit, located under the radiator sight shield.. someone else will definitely know for sure.. shorod 10-31-2007, 11:15 PM Yes, the AC clutch relay is integrated into the Constant Control Relay Module (CCRM) which is mounted to the radiator core support. The ground for the A/C compressor clutch is pin 16 of the CCRM (Gray/White wire if you have the 3.8L, black wire if you have any other engine). The positive feed for the clutch is pin 23, a black/yellow wire. The relay drive is on pin 21, a pink/light blue wire. -Rod g1smith 12-01-2007, 12:58 PM Search this forum for CCRM. The relay's tend to become unsoldered and the transistor tends to burn up ... all due to heat. If your handy with a soldering iron, they're quite easy to fix. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
