1997 Plymouth Voyager ABS?Krazy Jeff 10-31-2007, 04:20 AM I am curious. I just got this van. I checked the fuse box under the hood and noticed that a fuse and relay box is missing for the ABS. I am wondering if I should replace them? Or maybe my Voyager doesn't require them? Curious to know that the van still stops without it. So this question is more of curiosity. Let me know if you have any suggestions. RIP 10-31-2007, 04:11 PM According to this if you have an SE or a Grand SE, ABS was standard equipment: http://autos.msn.com/research/vip/Spec_Glance.aspx?year=1997&make=Plymouth&model=Voyager&trimid=-1 Normal braking will still function without the ABS. It appears at some point the former owner may have had serious ABS problems and disabled the system by removing the relat and fuse (box?). It would be well worth attempting to reactivate the system though it could cost a fair amount. This system has proven itself to be a life saver. Each wheel should have a speed sensor attached. Should also see a control unit and controller. Click on the components listed at right (sensor,CAB,HCU) to ID them on your van: http://www.autozone.com/az/cds/en_us/0900823d/80/1a/4d/a9/0900823d801a4da9/repairInfoPages.htm Bernard Feltzer 11-02-2007, 12:52 AM Your van did not come with ABS, that is why the fuse and relay are missing. Bernard Feltzer 11-02-2007, 12:56 AM If you want to worry about something important on your new van, here are 2 items to make sure are in good shape. 1. Timing belt. 2. Rear metal brake line, check for bad welds near a connector. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
