Bumpers are they grey or faded blacktinner105 10-25-2007, 06:11 PM Whats the secret for cleaning the bumpers/restoring their color. I know on other cars i have i have Color black to use on them and it makes them look like new. But there look like a faded grey/black What are you people using. Thanks Tony 8-36-08 still haven't found anything tom put the grey color back in the bumper covers, Anyone found somthing si,ilar to the "Back to Black" that works fantastic for any trim thats black. This is the wifes ride but it still bugs me that the paint looks like new but the grey trim looks like CRAP Thanks Again Dchall_San_Antonio 10-29-2007, 09:19 PM They are almost charcoal gray. Then they fade spotty. Whatever you do keep all wax products off of it. Wax turns them a lighter shade of gray. I'm hoping something like 409 will take the wax spots off. I'm leaving mine alone (after I get the wax off). Have you tried something like Armor All? tinner105 08-26-2008, 02:39 PM Still looking for somthing... anybody else thanks HeadlessHorseman1 08-27-2008, 01:17 PM "Black Magic" From Advance Auto works great. Depending on how bad your bumpers are faded, you may need to apply it several times. Black Magic is a "plasticizer," which the manufacturer implies that it forms a chemical bond with the plastic in the bumper. After your first double application, once again every month or so will keep your bumpers looking like new. HeadlessHorseman1 08-27-2008, 01:17 PM "Black Magic" from Advance Auto works great.
