Hi, I just replaced my head gaskets. it was a very complex task considering it was my first time, and i am some what of a novice. i did however manage to get the job done. HURRAY! only i could not find the hole that the oil dipstick tube went????... i fired it up and let it run for about 20 min. no oil came out. so i thought it was ok to take to work, and finish today. well i was wrong. all the oil came out car stalled and started to smoke. any help finding this hole would be greatly appreciated. Thank You -Rob-

I beleive it will be on the front of the engine somewhere.

I'm assuming he has a SII 3800 engine by his member name but it would help to list what engine and transmission within the post. Regardless, he will have either a 4T60E or 4T65E autotransaxle, most likely the 4T65E. The hole for the dipstick tube is located at the rear of the transmission on the main transaxle case assembly. See pic below.

yes its a SII 3800, im pretty sure its got a 4T60-E because its got a vacuum modulator, but im pretty sure the oil dip stick tube was on the side of the engine (front side of vehicle) and bolted to the exhaust manifold.

Sorry I thought you were referring to the tranny dipstick. It is supposed to be located at the front of the engine between cylinders 1 and 3. Bolted to one of the exhaust manifold studs. You should see the hole in the engine block where it inserts. Right next to where the A/C compressor is mounted.
