I have a 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan that is Ticking comeing from the engine. It does NOT go way after it heats up. I just had the engine flushed yesterday and I was wondering if I need to wait a few days or should I have it looked at? I usually associate this type of Ticking with the lifters on a car. Would I be ok to use an additive such as Lucas in the oil? I know for sure that it is not a knock but more of a tick.

Thank,
C-man

if it is a lifter try marvels mystery oil. has worked for me in the past on other cars, for a stuck lifter. but if that doesn't work and you do need to replace the lifters if you can do the work yourself the lifters are cheap! it is the labor that will cost$. but i believe the intake and the valve covers need to come off to get at the lifters! mike

i am assuming you have the 3.3 or the 3.8! mike

Thank you I was wondering about the Mystery Oil I have heard of that before. Yes, it is the 3.3. The lifters are the only things that I can think of that would make it tick? Could it be somthing else?

Was it ticking before you had the engine "flushed"?
