t-belt ?

i got a 99 sportage with 100,000 miles on it.
I was coming down off ramp and car died.
I losen the t-belt cover and belt is not moving but it is not broke.
not moving when tring to start car.
could the teeth came off the belt?

hello!! yes it is very possible.if you have the cover off look around the
crank pulley you should be able to inspect the belt.i dont no if this car
have enough valve clearence or not(so not to bend valves)but with 100k
belt is over due!! Good Luck

CLassic and overdue. Happily, this is a non interference engine hence change belt, and while you are there, idler, tensioner, coolant pump....pput everything back in place and you are on the road again.
