is there any difference in the hf and hf axles? i mean just the axle. i kno the hf has lighter drums, but i'm changing those anyways. i'm talking about just the beam axle. i kno the si has an internal sway bar and the hf doesnt. is there anything else that is different?

thanks in advance,
Steven Folchi

The HF axle beam is smaller in diameter than the SI or DX beam. IIRC, the HF beam is 2-1/4" diameter and the SI/DX are 2-1/2" in diameter. The HF beam is also lighter than the SI/DX because it does not use the internal rear sway bar. Other than that, it is a direct swap.

I used an HF beam in my SI to reduce weight, but I also added an 19mm Lightspeed rear sway bar for stability.

well hell... if that's all that's diff then alright... idt that 1/4 inch is too much to worry about... and i'll just take out the internal sway bar myself...

thanks for the info man... peace
